NATIONAL SERVICE - PROGRAM LATIHAN KHIDMAT NEGARA 2009
I was quite devastated when I recieved this notice about me getting chosen for National Service, but is PLKN really that bad? As bad as the rumours spoken out of the mouth of the people without any field experience?
I did some research on National Service (Of course, it's to prepare myself for the PLKN), and found out....that Khidmat Negara wasn't so bad after all......
I remember telling my friends that I got chosen for PLKN and laughter burst out from them...
*Alala Andy, you kena NS, I din kena NS ~!!!! Alala ~~~*
*How you know you didn't kena?*
*I check lah !*
<Teacher walks in....and started to give out forms that looked like a PLKN form>
*Andy, this is your form*
*Friend, this is your form*
*WHAT?! HOW COME I KENA DE?!?!?! NOO, I DONT WANNA GO !!! NOO !!!*
<And he whines like a baby....keep on complaining....>
I wonder why everyone has a bad impression on PLKN, whats so bad about NS anyway?
(Except for the 14 casualities lah....lol...)
I've been recieving encouragements from my seniors that speaks
*Uih, you kena NS ah? Good lah ! You know my batch of NS, super syok man ! and you will gain alot of experience too !!!*
*Yier, NS nice meh? My friend all say go NS like go army de lo, very xin ku de lo....*
*No lah, NS got alot of activities de, and alot of meal time also de !!*
Yeah, about the meals, one trainee will have 6 meals per day average, it's 6 meals, and I meant 6 !
You will surely gain weight if you enroll yourself in NS, and rumours been spreading around saying the food of NS is very bad at quality, some part of it is true, but, sometimes they serve nice foods too
<such as succulent roasted lamb for dinner...argh...>
But, maybe some of you are bothered with the Too Hui Min incident...Dont worry ! If you can pay, there'll be always a stall outside there to serve as an alternative to your food everyday ~ But I would rather choose to eat free at the canteen though =P.
Or some cases which includes missing in hiking or lost in jungle... This will be a challenge for you all who kena select for NS 2009. Brush your navigation skills up,because you will be needing it in your NS, and also brush your stamina and mental fitness up before going to NS, it would prove useful in dire situations where you had no idea of what you're doing.
Yeah...thats about it for part one, for part two, the necessity small general knowledge you would have to know before going to NS ~ and oh yeah......Don't be a food picky when you go to NS, or you will starve =)
Trivias.....
<It is proven that the trainees like to eat Maggie mee more that the foods served at the canteen>
<Don't worry Buddhist, you will be escorted to a temple, Don't worry Christians, you will be escorted to a Church which suits your needs, Don't worry Muslims, there's a big surau on the camp, Don't worry Hindus, they will escort you to a temple !>
<Saturday is half days, Sunday is free day in NS>
<There are classes in NS....Don't think that your study days are over after your SPM.>
<There are also night classes, with a night time supper after that.>
<one of the subject is called Kenegaraan>
<there will be marching, sports and most importantly, leisure !>
<there is no astro at NS...>
*I gotta say that security and health issues in most of the NS camps are poor!*
*As a conclusion, NS is a big waste of money and a big waste of time. Once and for all, just put a full stop on it*
